  <body>RFP With a Punch. A simple process to select the best PACS Solution.

Over the course of the past seven years, Michael Gray (Gray Consulting) has developed one of the most comprehensive and precisely written RFP&#8217;s for Radiology PACS in the industry. It is up to date with all of the current technology, loaded with all of those exciting acronyms, and contains only those questions that will truly differentiate the PACS solutions. A Gray Consulting RFP always gets a good response, detailed information, and accurate information. These are exactly the kinds of responses a PACS Steering committee needs in order to make a decision.

The RFP document itself is an MS Word document (on CD) that includes an Introduction of the Project, A Project Calendar, your organization&#8217;s Contacts, a lengthy section on Instructions to Bidders, a description of your facility(ies), and the modality study counts. A General overview of the multiple technology sections follows:

*General Requirements*

* IT Technology Preferences
* Required System Features

*Bidder System Description*
*Network Issues*
*Data Acquisition Issues*

* Acquisition Servers
* HIS/RIS Interface
* Data Object File Format
* Interface Validation
* Technologist QC Stations

*Server Subsystems and Issues*

* Main and Local Servers
* Archive Server
* Web Server

*Display Stations and Issues*

* Diagnostic Displays
* Clinical Review Displays
* Web Viewers

*System Issues*
*System Deployment*

The printed Booklet includes a Preface, an Introduction, and the step-by-step Instructions on how to customize the RFP to represent your facility(ies) and your requirements.

A series of Tutorials on major components of PACS and major issues related to the technology appear within the Instructional section to make it easier for the reader to find this information as they work their way through the RFP document, customizing it with facility information and rating the questions. There are a good number of questions that address fairly advanced concepts. The Tutorials will help the reader understand these key questions as well as help the reader properly rate them to reflect their own opinions and those of the organization.

The package includes one hour of telephone consultation time with Michael Gray. This time can be used to clarify any instructions, discuss questions, draft custom questions, or assist with the interpretation of vendor responses.

Note: The RFP Template is solely for the use of Health Systems, Hospitals and Imaging Centers. All other uses are restricted and all other rights are reserved.
